    My dog Violet has been kind of a jerk towards other people when we walk for the last three years of her life. It made walking her anxiety-inducing whenever I’d see someone headed our way on the trail, and I avoided taking her to certain places to reduce encounters. Melanie started walking Violet only a couple of months ago and the behavior is almost non-existent now. I feel like I can trust Violet around her most hated nemesis: children screaming and flailing.
